Dublin-based tech firm Logicalis to create 25 posts after €1m investment

Logicalis Ireland has invested €1m into the company’s digital transformation, which will lead to the creation of 25 jobs.

The Dublin-based business said it has upgraded its technological capabilities to enhance its service offerings for clients such as RTÉ, Musgrave Group and AIB.

Managing director Andrew Baird said the two key barriers to any firm’s digital journey are issues around security and difficulty of integration with existing systems.

“You not only need the latest apps and front-end interfaces, you also need to invest in existing platforms so that they are able to support the increasing workloads, the new types of transactions and do so in a secure and compliant manner,” he said.

He said that Logicalis Ireland’s enhanced service, which include Backup as a Service (Baas), hybrid IT on-premise solutions, and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), will allow the company to better support its customer base here.

In addition to the expansion of its product range, the Sandyford-headquartered firm has already started to expand its client services team.

New roles based across a number of locations within Ireland in the areas of generation managed services operations, infrastructure integration, hybrid cloud, IT security and business analytics are expected to be filled over the next two years. Mr Baird said the firm will be looking for skilled, experienced employees.
