George and Amal Clooney sport golden tans on rare night out a month after welcoming twins

George, 56, and Amal, 39, swapped their Berkshire home for northern Italy – where they also own a waterfront estate – this week, and they were seen on one of their first nights out since baby Ella and Alexander came into their lives.

Despite no doubt having a fair few sleepless nights, both George and Amal looked as fresh-faced as ever, with Amal donning a floral summer dress and wearing her brunette tresses in its usual chic blow-dried style.
The human rights lawyer added a slick of bright red lipstick and some bronze eye make-up.

Both stars – who a friend said are now “above cloud nine” – were sporting a golden tan as they left restaurant Il Gatto Nero, with George looking incredibly dapper in a black shirt, which he left unbuttoned at the top.

The pair’s latest appearance comes after a spokesperson confirmed the birth of their little ones, with Stan Rosenfield joking that “George was currently sedated”.

He told Express.co.uk on June 6: “This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives.

“Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover Amal and George Clooney

George spoke out about his pregnant wife while appearing at CinemaCon in Las Vegas back in March.

He told Extra at the time: “She is doing really great. She is amazing. I don’t have anything to do. There is nothing I can do to help, but make tea and stuff.”

The Oscar winner also confessed he already knew a little thing or two about parenting ahead of welcoming their newborns: “I know swaddling, I know what I’m in for.”
