The “All Summer Long” singer caused controversy while performing at his own Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock ‘N Roll Steakhouse in Nashville last week, where he claimed the talk show host, producer and author could “suck d**k sideways” before chanting “f*** Ophra Winfrey!”.
“My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey Show years ago and her people wanted me to write down five reasons why I loved her and her show,” he explained in a Facebook post made after the incident. “I said f*** that and her. End of story.”
He added: “I am just saying what a lot of people think. I have a big mouth and drink too much sometimes.”
Rock was fired from his role as the grand marshal of Nashville’s Christmas Parade last year, following a TV appearance on Fox & Friends in which he called Behar a “b***h”.
He has previously lashed out at Winfrey, branding her his “real-life villain” and claiming he does not believe her because “I’m not one of the 150 million brainwashed women who heed her every word”.
In both the post and his earlier rant at the festival, Rock referenced recent allegations of racism made against him: “If you say that, you’re like, ‘Hey, well, pretty sure Kid Rock’s a racist.’ I’m like, ‘OK, fine. F*** off. Sideways.’
“I also work hard and do a ton to help others but that’s just backpage news because the press hates [that] I love Trump. Was it racist when I said, ‘F*** Joy Behar?’” he asked.
Rock also denied that he was removed from his own bar during the incident at the festival, claiming he was in fact assisted by police officers.
Oprah has not responded to Rock’s comments about her.
