The video was filmed in Kesha’s house, and features the popstar dancing and singing lyrics like, “ You know I’m home alone, Macaulay-caulay Culkin,” and “I’m setting booby traps in case you are a bad guy/ I’m reading bookies, baking cookies in my thigh-highs”.
Kesha is not the only artist to have recorded new music during the coronavirus lockdown.
Adam Sandler has performed two songs inspired by life during the pandemic: one paying tribute to the work of frontline medical workers, and the other warning people not to “touch grandma”.
Randy Newman posted a video of his own ditty about social distancing, called “Stay Away”.
