Kesha has released a short song about Home Alone recorded at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

The video, which Kesha posted on Twitter, begins with a clip of Macaulay Culkin in the beloved 1990 film, before transitioning to upbeat music. You can watch the video below.

“I’ve been bored at home so I made a song for u animals!!! And a little video,” she wrote above the video.

“It’s called HOME ALONE… dedicated to all of you sexy people hanging at home…..alone.  and also dedicated to the one and only @IncredibleCulk.”

The video was filmed in Kesha’s house, and features the popstar dancing and singing lyrics like,  You know I’m home alone, Macaulay-caulay Culkin,” and “I’m setting booby traps in case you are a bad guy/ I’m reading bookies, baking cookies in my thigh-highs”.

Kesha is not the only artist to have recorded new music during the coronavirus lockdown.

Adam Sandler has performed two songs inspired by life during the pandemic: one paying tribute to the work of frontline medical workers, and the other warning people not to “touch grandma”.

Randy Newman posted a video of his own ditty about social distancing, called “Stay Away”.
