Donald Trump has once again left Twitter users baffled – this time by liking a tweet about the TV series Insecure.

The message is currently the only liked tweet on Trump’s Twitter account.

It was published in reaction to the show’s latest episode, which aired on Sunday night.

During that time, many fans shared their reactions on social media.

Among them was Twitter user @shiningheaux, who wrote about the episode, next to a “This is how I wanted tonight’s episode of insecure to end.. Damn Molly.”

Molly, portrayed by Yvonne Orji, is one of the show’s two protagonists, along with Issa Dee (played by Issa Rae, who’s also the programme’s co-creator).

Twitter users were surprised to realise that the president had liked the tweet in question – not just because Trump isn’t a known Insecure fan, but also because it’s the only tweet currently liked from his official account, on which he has 81.9 million followers, giving significant preponderance to a seemingly innocuous tweet.

“Why did Trump like this?” one person asked after the president’s like became apparent.

Rae, alerted to the situation by another Twitter user, appeared as confused as everyone else, writing: ”What the f*** is this.”

Kumail Nanjiani, her co-star in the new romantic comedy The Lovebirds, tweeted: ”Well I found one thing I have in common with him: we’re both big fans of @IssaRae.”

Rae reacted by telling him simply, “Kumail,” next to a gif of a woman asking him not to say that.

Insecure started airing in 2016 on HBO and is now in its fourth season. The latest episode, “Lowkey Trying”, was directed by Kerry Washington.
